What is Important to You?

The things “we make” important are not necessarily what is most important to God. However, what “we make” important does become important to God. Why? Because WE are important to God. One thing is for sure: God doesn’t want us to make the wrong things important!

Our goal … find out what is important to God and make those things important to us. In essence, make God’s agenda ours, not our agenda His. This saves a lot of heartache and pain by keeping us from getting side-tracked by the wrong things. It helps us focus on the eternal and not the temporary. It keeps us from getting twisted up in the game, because we have become individuals … rather than team players. It keeps us from making life … situations, circumstances and relationships about us.

When we make things about us and our agenda, rather than about God and His agenda, we find ourselves offended, hurt, wounded, lost, disillusioned, oversensitive, over-caring about the wrong things, taking up other peoples offenses, emotionally unstable, and maybe worst of all, hopeless and helpless.
