People who are grateful, celebrate others. Whether it is an anniversary, promotion, or just because of who someone is, grateful people make time to celebrate others. And, because grateful people express themselves, communication flows easily and produces energy in others. A spirit of cooperation is a natural by-product of celebrating and communicating with people, when done out of a heart of gratitude.

Gratitude acts like a magnet because whatever you are grateful for you place value on. Your values are what matter most to you. As you align your life with your values, whatever you draw close to, automatically draws close to you.

• When you express gratitude, it makes people feel appreciated. When people feel appreciated, they want to be around you.
• When you are grateful for money, you won’t waste money. Because you don’t waste money, you begin to think about the best and highest uses are for it. Remember, it is not the money that attracts what you want, it is what you value.
• When you are grateful for a beautiful day, you will never take a day for granted. In the process, you discover, “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” You will find your days to be filled with joy, because when you are grateful, each day becomes a gift from God.
• When you are grateful for your life, you learn to cherish every moment and not waste time.
