“Leadership is a commitment to Think, Be and Do life beyond yourself, for the benefit of others.” – Leadershipology.com

Successful leaders know that before you can lead someone to where they need to go, you need to know where they are. The better you know them, the more they will:

  • Know they matter;
  • Feel like they belong;
  • Believe they can win; and
  • Understand what they should do.

Why is this important? Because, if you do not really know who you are talking to … you can’t really expect them to listen. Think about your current level of influence and impact with those whom you lead – whether at home, work or with friends. Would it rise if you knew them better? I mean really took the time to get to know them better. Of course it would. You add value to others by getting to know them better – it lets them know they matter and belong. It helps them to see they can win and better understand what to do.

When you commit to Thinking, Being, and Doing life this way, you live life beyond yourself, for the benefit of others!
