How do you EXCEL in EXCEL-lence? You surpass your past limitations…by giving honor. Living an honorable life first, begins with honoring God. You honor Him by being a first fruiter.
- First fruiters return to God the first ten percent of what they earn. In doing so, they put Him first and honor Him. Be a person who chooses to always put God first. God doesn’t need your money … He wants you to honor Him.
“The first of the first fruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God.” – Exodus 23:19
- First fruiters, like Abraham’s servant, Eliezer, in Genesis 24, honored his master by finding a wife for his son. The name Eliezer means 10. In finding a wife for Abraham’s son, he became a form of first fruits for Abraham.
“He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all created.” – James 1:18
Like Eliezer, seek to be a first fruits person in the earth – in your family, in your job, and everywhere you go. Be the first to love, to do a good job, and to offer a helping hand. In doing so, you will honor God and when you make what is important to God important to you, He makes what is important to you important to Him.
