As a high school and college basketball player, I continually put myself in last second situations during my practice. I would actually dribble down the court counting “Five, Four, Three, Two…” I would take the last shot and shout, “One!” no matter if the ball went in the goal or not.
Excellence literally means to excel beyond good, nor- mal or average. You are practicing excellence every time you put yourself into a situation real or fictional, with the intent of giving whatever you are doing your best shot. Just like this exercise I did in high school, every time you are “on the court” in life, give it your best shot. You never know when this shot might be the shot that changes the game for you!
Practice excellence anywhere, anytime, everyday!
