“And whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.” – Matthew 5:41 AMP

Jesus said, “And whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.” You overcome the ordinary by going the second mile … the “extra-vagant” mile. The word extravagant means: lacking restraint … evidenced by exceeding what is reasonable or appropriate.

Andrew Carnegie, philanthropist and businessman, was asked to speak to a graduating class. He said that he thought all young people fell into three categories: those who did not do all their duty, those who only professed to do their duty and those who did their duty plus a little more. “It is the little more that wins,” he said. “Do your duty and a little more, and the future will take care of itself.”
