Language offers a framework for meaning. How you frame your words is how you frame your world. Think about that powerful idea.

Our words have the power to elevate our thinking. Your self-talk and the words you speak will determine whether you think positive or negative thoughts … whether you feel good or feel bad. When you call a stumbling block a “problem” or “a big mess” you create a different emotional state within you than if you call the issue “an opportunity” or “a challenge that will only make me better.”

Your words reflect your identity. They influence your thinking and create your future.

I have the privilege, as a coach of CEOs, to work with many extraordinarily successful people from around the world. One of their core traits of greatness is that the vast majority of them understand the power of the word.  They use world-class language. They use the language of leadership … of possibility … of love.

Life comes in words and your words become sentences. The sum of what you say in life – your life sentences – literally “sentence your life.” So, choose your words carefully. Why?

Because how YOU frame your words is how YOU frame your world!
