The word God has given me for the next year for Elevate Life Church is EXCEL. If don’t already have a word for you and your family, I want to invite you to adopt EXCEL into your vocabulary and make it YOUR word for 2016!
EXCEL means to SOAR beyond our ordinary into God’s Extravagant Extra-ordinary and receive the good things God has prepared for those who love him!
This year we are going to Excel in ALL THINGS – including love!
Three ways to think Love – because love is important to God!
“One of the religion scholars came up. Hearing the lively exchanges of question and answer and seeing how sharp Jesus was in his answers, he put in his question: “Which is most important of all the commandments?” Jesus said, “The first in importance is, ‘Listen, Israel: The Lord your God is one; so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.’ And here is the second: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment that ranks with these”

- Love who God loves
Many know the story of the widow who gave two small coins, yet Jesus called his disciples over to show how she was giving extravagantly in love!
“The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together. All the others gave what they’ll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldn’t afford—she gave her all.” Mark 12:43-44 MSG
- Love what God loves
Since we love God, we should also love what He loves. Our Extravagant God, who has given to us so much wants our Extravagant Worship, so we can feel His touch. He doesn’t need us, but we need Him
When we step into the Extravagant, we empower Him to help us win!
- Love how God loves
God so loved us, extravagantly! For God has always been for us, He did not even spare His own Son But He Extravagantly gave Jesus, so We could become One. Nothing can separate us, from His Extravagant Love, not death, nor life, nor powers from beneath or above. Imagine if we loved how He loves us?
