To live the life that God made you to live, you’ve got to understand that God made you to win!
“For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil; thoughts to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
There is hope in your future. Your best days are not behind you, they are ahead of you. Regardless of what you might be going through, know that God’s thoughts toward you are to give you a future and a hope. This means the rest of your life can be the best of your life!
It’s time to get out of the losing column – wherever you’ve been losing – and get on the winning side of life!
God made you to win! He has been on your side this whole time. It’s His story and He’s got your life laid out. Winning becomes possible when you enter into His story and watch Him begin to work in your life … work like He’s never worked before!
“You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.” – 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (Msg.)
Run to win. Unlike a foot race, we’re not competing against each other. We all can win the prize. That’s good news because there will always be someone faster, stronger, or smarter than us. But that’s okay, because we are running against the opportunities God gives us, not what He gives others. We are competing against ourselves.
All good athletes train hard. We all have a price to pay … and nobody can pay your price. If you’re going to win in your job, it’s going to be because you develop your gifts, your talents, your abilities. You turn those things into competencies. You add value and, therefore, you get paid more for the value that you add.
They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades … but you’re after one that’s gold eternally. God wants you to understand that you are after the eternal prize, not one that tarnishes and fades. (We do not run our race to get into heaven. We are saved by grace “for” good works, not by them. Our race, therefore, is to accomplish the good works God put us here for and finish in such a way so as to hear Him say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”)
Run your race knowing that …
God is for you … so, who can be against you?
God is on your side … so, whom shall you fear?
God MADE you to win!
