“Whatever you are not willing to do, you are not able to benefit from.” – Leadershipology.com
Life is not about what you can’t do. Rather, it is about what you are willing to do. It all begins with your willingness.
Top leaders are willing to sacrifice something in the present for something better in the future. Why? They know they can only benefit from that which they are willing to do. Their willingness enables them to establish track records of achievement, build their self-confidence, and deepen trust with others. Whenever you are willing to bring your greatness into any area of your life – your job, your marriage, your relationships – it becomes your X Factor for success, enabling you to produce a result that cannot be produced in any other way, by any other person!
As a leader, there are four things you must be willing to do:
- Be willing to develop your strengths. Most people do not fully use their strengths. However, when you are willing to discover, develop, and deploy them, you can show the world a part of God that has never been displayed before. Develop your strengths.
- Be willing to deal with your fear. Don’t allow fear to paralyze you. Know that a failure to believe always results in a failure to take action. Failure to take action results in a failure to achieve. Deal with your fear.
- Be willing to de-emphasize the weaknesses in others. See the greatness in others and help them see it in themselves. Help them to discover, develop, and deploy their strengths. De-emphasize other’s weaknesses.
- Be willing to do what other’s won’t. Summon the courage to do what others won’t and you’ll have in life what others don’t. Be a “do whatever it takes” person. Be willing!
It all begins with your willingness … so, be willing!
What is one thing you are willing to do today that positions you for a better tomorrow?
