Be your best for others … it will make you a difference-maker in the world!
Here is an amazing story of the one man who excelled in excellence by being his best for others.
Charles Schwab worked for Andrew Carnegie. He was paid $75,000 per year ($2.1 million in 2016) because of how Schwab distinguished himself in being able to deal with people and make a difference for Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie frequently gave Schwab bonuses of $1 million ($29 million in 2016) because he was his best for others and made a meaningful difference.
Excelling in Excellence is just as much about others, as it is about ourselves. When we decide to have the kind of spirit of excellence God wants us to have, it doesn’t just affect us. Rather, it allows us to use our uniqueness to make a difference in the world!
We each have been given gifts by God. What we do with those gifts is not just our gift back to Him, but also our gift to the world.
“Excellence is a way of practicing, according to your potential, as if at any time the game of life depends on your last shot.” –Leadershipology.com
It’s not hard to have potential. However, it’s hard to realize potential. So, practice, practice, practice. Practice what? Practice being your best for others … it will make you a difference-maker in the world!
