Don’t nod off in life, answer the call!

Sampson is an example of a biblical character who did not answer the call of God. God had gifted Sampson with His spirit, gifted him with His might and God gifted him with His wisdom.  Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Sampson was large in stature. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that he had big muscles, but everywhere Sampson is mentioned, it was noted how strong he was.  The kind of strength that God is talking about is not just strength that is physical strength, but it’s spiritual strength.  In fact, Sampson used his strength incorrectly.  Why? Sampson didn’t answer God’s call in his life. He answered his own call…He answered his own lust…He answered what he wanted to do.  In other words, he nodded off on God.  He nodded off on the life that God had planned out for him. He didn’t ever really awaken his destiny. He never really answered THE call.

To answer the call means to get to that place in your life where it is not about YOUR way.  It’s not about YOUR personality. It’s not about what YOU want, but it’s about what God wants.  It’s really about separating yourself unto God, not so that you can’t have any fun anymore, but so that you can be free.  The Bible says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Will you answer the call? Live the life that God has planned out for you, awaken your destiny.
