“The choices you make today are the seeds that determine your harvest tomorrow.” – Leadershipology.com
In our early years, our lives are determined by our conditions. A baby does not choose his/her family or environment. But as babies age, so do their options and they begin to make choices. The difference between the two phases in life is:
| Conditions | Choices |
| Early Life | Later life |
| Involuntary | Voluntary |
| Others choose | We choose |
| We react | We initiate |
The choices you make today are the seeds that determine your harvest tomorrow. John Wooden said, “There is a choice you have to make in everything you do. So keep in mind that in the end, the choice you make, makes you.” The choice is uniquely yours – crisis or opportunity … chaos or order. Abraham Lincoln said, “Always bear in mind, your own resolution to success is more important than any other thing.”
Four facts about choices:
- Your choices today, determine your choices tomorrow.
- Every person is responsible for the choices he/she makes and the consequences that come with those choices.
- With right choices, you reap right consequences. With wrong choices, you reap bad consequences.
- The people with whom you choose to align ultimately determine whether you win or lose in life.
Tomorrow, I will share some thoughts on “Choices to Elevate Your Life Right Now.”
