“The choices you make today are the seeds that determine your harvest tomorrow.” – Leadershipology.com

In our early years, our lives are determined by our conditions. A baby does not choose his/her family or environment. But as babies age, so do their options and they begin to make choices. The difference between the two phases in life is:

Conditions Choices
Early Life Later life
Involuntary Voluntary
Others choose We choose
We react We initiate

The choices you make today are the seeds that determine your harvest tomorrow. John Wooden said, “There is a choice you have to make in everything you do. So keep in mind that in the end, the choice you make, makes you.” The choice is uniquely yours – crisis or opportunity … chaos or order. Abraham Lincoln said, “Always bear in mind, your own resolution to success is more important than any other thing.”

Four facts about choices:

  1. Your choices today, determine your choices tomorrow.
  2. Every person is responsible for the choices he/she makes and the consequences that come with those choices.
  3. With right choices, you reap right consequences. With wrong choices, you reap bad consequences.
  4. The people with whom you choose to align ultimately determine whether you win or lose in life.

Tomorrow, I will share some thoughts on “Choices to Elevate Your Life Right Now.”
