If true friendship is hard to find, best friends are rare for a reason. Very few people, especially men, have best friends. I remember a Pastor saying to me one time, “When you talk about your best friend, it sounds like you are in elementary school.”
Best friends are rare because to have someone who has your best interest in mind, starts with you having someone else’s best interest in mind. It’s you being a best friend at all times which empowers you to be aware of the strength you need from someone else.
We all have our worst days and worst moments. Some of our worst moments are on our worst days! A best friend does not waver when your worst has been displayed. Be a best friend for someone and you will attract a best friend for yourself.
A best friend is someone who has your best interest in mind, who believes the best in you at all times and does not waver when the worst of you is displayed.
