Today I had the immense privilege to be at the Texas State Capitol to pray over the House of Representatives as they began their session. It was an honor to invite the presence of Jesus into the Capitol and pronounce a blessing over our lawmakers and the GREAT state of Texas. Thank you, Representative Pat Fallon, for the invitation to Austin today!
Below is the prayer I spoke over the House of Representatives this morning. I invite you to join me in agreement that God’s will shall be done.
Dear Heavenly Father;
We thank You for this day! This is the day that You have made, let US rejoice and be glad in it.
Your Word says, “They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mt. Zion that shall not be removed but abides forever
And…as the mountains surround Jerusalem so the Lord will surround those who put their trust in Him.
God I ask for You to surround this great assembly of leaders today with Your love…may each one of them know they are loved extravagantly and unconditionally by you.
Surround them today with Your mercy. Let each one of them know that nothing can separate them from the love of God and that Your mercy endures forever!
Surround them by Your Grace. God if You can turn the world on an invisible axis, You can give each one of these great men and woman Your power to do things Your way!
Surround them by Your skillful and Godly wisdom to govern and guide the Great State of Texas!
Give them the ability to distinguish not only between good and evil, but good and BEST!
Surround them with Your divine knowledge. Help them to know what needs to be done, how it needs to be done and when it needs to be done.
I ask You God to surround each person with Your favor. Give them a divine advantage for success!
Surround each of their families with Your love that covers a multitude of sins…Your peace that surpasses all understanding…Your joy in the midst of any sorrow.
We invite Your divine presence in this place. Bring Your super into every persons natural.
And because of this assembly’s EXTRAORDINARY leadership, may Texas continue to be the tip of the spear in leading America in effective governance, innovative strategies and perpetual prosperity.
As I end my prayer and you begin this day I pray…
The Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you. May you know if God is for you, who can be against you. May you know if God is on your side, whom shall you fear. May you be like a tree planted by rivers of living water whose leaves will not wither and I declare over this House of Representatives….. That whatsoever you do, IT SHALL PROSPER!
