Everything in your life that’s good is a gift of grace from God. John 1:1-3
There’s a difference between God’s mercy and his grace in your life. Mercy is defined as not receiving what is deserved, and grace is defined as receiving what is not deserved. Here are five essentials for living a grace –full life.
- Power to live in
It’s a gift to be able to do life, live your dreams, your marriage, your future, and finances God’s way. It’s the power of God and not your own power. Even if you’re in a disempowering situation, your life is still a gift of grace.
- People to live with
You weren’t created to do life by yourself, but to have relationships with others. There’s always a giver and receiver. Which part you play varies with the situations. Get aligned with the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Stay in the game and do your part. Your measure of faith is not just for you, but for others as well.
- Principles to live by
“Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV) . Wisdom gives you the ability to differentiate between good and evil, then good and best. Every time you do the right thing your wisdom grows.
- A Plan to live out.
God has a plan for you! Bad decisions from time to time never change God’s plan. The Bible says what you value, the heart will follow. If you’ve followed your heart into brokenness, you can still turn it around and move in the right direction again. Now you’ve given God something to work with.
- A Purpose to live for
Some people have lost step in their guiding principles, and the plan’s not working. But grace means you can ask God’s help and instantly be back on purpose.
Living a grace-full life is possible wherever you are in your journey through life.
