“Embracing resistance is using what could stop you…to GROW you!” – Leadershipology.com

Have you ever had a dream that you wanted to pursue – but didn’t? Have you ever had a great idea with lots of potential – but failed to take action to make it happen? Have you ever started a new workout program, diet, or a project – but failed to follow through on it? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, you have faced resistance.

Resistance arises whenever you do anything requiring willpower, discipline, or courage. It is the little voice that whispers, you are not good enough to succeed in your own business; no one will ever want to read the book you thought about writing; or, eat the pizza, you can start eating right and exercising tomorrow. As leaders, we must embrace the resistance, not fall into its trap.

Embracing resistance is using what could stop you…to GROW you!

To go to another level in any area of your life, you must be willing to use what you think is against you (resistance), to make you stronger … you must embrace the resistance.

Nothing in life “goes forward” until you pay the FEE to “grow forward” on the inside.

Here are 3 consequences of NOT embracing resistance:

  • You will become a “victim” rather than a victor because of what they have done to you and you will be responsible for having a “victim mentality” in your tribe.
  • You will become “pitiful” rather than powerful because of the pit they threw you into and no matter how influential you become, you will not influence the world for the better but for the worse. Why? Because you used your platform to be pitiful and not powerful!
  • You will always think that whatever is against you, you have to speak against, rather than BEING a transformational example of how what was against you made you stronger and understanding that ACTIONS always speak louder than words!

It’s the weights of life, that make YOU great at life!

Embrace the resistance!
