Winners Initiate, Losers Procrastinate” – Leadershipology.com
Everything that happens, happens by initiation. “No-thing” happens without it.
To initiate is: to do the FIRST act; to introduce by instructing principles; to insert based on priority; literally, to “bring forth fruit.” It is both an attitude and an action. As an attitude it says, “If it’s to be, it’s up to me!” and as an action it emphasizes, “You can’t hit if you don’t swing!”
Winners are initiators … they take initiative. They don’t procrastinate, waiting for:
- everything to be perfect before moving forward;
- all problems or obstacles to disappear; or
- fear and uncertainty to subside.
Initiate, don’t procrastinate!
What is something you have been putting off that needs to be done? What is one step you can you take today to shift from procrastinating to initiating?
