“A quality-filled life is the by-product of great relationships.” –Leadershipology.com
What makes a relationship great? Intimacy. To achieve intimacy, you must first start with God. You have to draw close to Him, knowing that He will draw close to you. Building your relationship with Him, trusting that He will love you back. When your relationship with Him is good, then your other relationships can start to Grow.
Great relationships don’t just happen…Great marriages don’t just happen…Great finances don’t just happen…Great businesses don’t just happen…Great friendships don’t just happen…YOU have to Grow them. When you do, they will not out GROW you!
According to a 75-year Harvard Study conducted from 1939-2014, the biggest predictor of happiness and fulfillment in life is relationships.
“It’s not just the number of friends you have, and it’s not whether or not you’re in a committed relationship,” says Dr. Robert Waldinger. “It’s the quality of your close relationships that matters.”
This means … It doesn’t matter whether you have a huge group of friends and go out every weekend or if you’re in a “perfect” romantic relationship (as if those exist). It’s the quality of the relationships — how much vulnerability and depth exists within them; how safe you feel sharing with one another; the extent to which you can relax and be seen for who you truly are, and truly see another.
A great life is built on great relationships. When you Grow great relationships – with God and others – you are choosing to make your life better!
