There are only two kinds of people: Givers and Takers.

Givers are focused on God and others. They cause unity in their relationships because their question is: “What is in it for us?” They sow seed that multiplies into a harvest. They become miracle workers. Takers, on the other hand, are focused on themselves. They are self-preservationists who cause die-vision in their relationships because their question is: “What is in it for me?” Takers get all they can, can all they get, sit on the can and become I can’t people. They become miracle needers.

I’ve made up my mind I’m going to live my life as a giver and not a taker. When I come to the end of my life, I want people to say, “Keith was a giver. Keith made me better. Keith inspired me. Keith helped me shape my philosophy of life. Keith brightened my day. Keith was an energy producer. Keith was good to me and my family. Keith touched my life … it would not have been the same if he was not part of it!”

Let that be your desire, too! Leave people better off than when you met them … by being a giver. Excel in this grace of giving and glorify God in all you do!

“But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” – 2 Corinthians 8:7 (NIV)
