Today is September 9, 2009…9/9/09.
9 is an interesting number to say the least. In mathematics, the sum of the two-digits resulting from nine multiplied by any other single-digit number will equal nine. So, 9×3=27, and 2+7=9. Multiply nine by any two, three or four-digit number and the sums of those will also break down to nine. For example, 9×62=558; 5+5+8=18 and 1+8=9.
Beyond the mathematical dynamic is the spiritual significance of the number 9. All creation is stamped with the seal of God in numerics. One of the principles of Biblical interpretation is the Numerical Principle.
The Numeric Principle has been defined as “that principle by which the interpretation of a verse or passage of Scripture containing numbers is aided by a recognition of the symbolic significance of the numbers involved.” God is indeed “the wonderful numbered.” (Dan.8:13,14) From Genesis and the account of creation, we see the “seal of God” in the use of numbers.
There are many things I could emphasize today, but 3 things of significance as it relates to the number 9…Finality…Fullness…Fruitfulness.

Finality
♦ In the natural, September 9 is the 252nd day of the year…2+5+2=9. Today, 9/9/09 represents the LAST set of repeating, single-digit dates that we will see for almost a century, until January 1, 2101 or a millennium January 1, 3001.
♦ In the Super-natural, Matthew 27:45-53… “Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And in the NINTH hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice saying, ‘My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?’” What looks like the worst moment in Jesus life, became our BEST moment!
In that moment, a couple of significant things happened:
♦ the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom…get ready for whatever has held you back to be torn down!
♦ the earth quaked…all that can be shaken has been shaken and only what is of God will remain!
♦ the rocks were split…impossibilities are disappearing!
♦ graves were opened…if death can be defeated and has been “swallowed up in victory,” get ready for things to open up!
♦ many bodies of saints who had fallen asleep were raised and appeared to many people…God will be magnified (made bigger) in our lives!
Today, the things that need to be FINAL in your life, are in Jesus’ name! This is my prayer for your life today!
