Expectations | Keith Craft

We all have expectations – of ourselves and others. It is far easier for us to expect more out of others than we expect out of ourselves. However, the best use of our expectation is on ourselves.

My friend Zig Ziglar said, “What you make happen for others, you make happen for yourself.” You actually have the power to attract what you made happen for another person like a magnet to yourself.

“What you expect out of yourself, you direct toward yourself.” – Leadershipology.com

It has been said that expectations out of others are only premeditated resentments. When we direct our expectations on ourselves, we change the world around us.

When you expect more out of yourself than you do another person, expectation is a very positive thing. Expectation is negative when you expect more out of others than yourself. Rather than attracting things that we want, we repel them. Our expectations are born out of the hope that things will get better. When we place our expectation on ourselves, we shield ourselves from disappointment.

Today, your life can get better, because your hope is not misplaced on the Expectation of others, but is grounded in your taking action based on what your Expectation is.
