Ever feel like you take one step forward, then take two steps back?

You feel …

  • the job is getting better … then you make the mistake.
  • the relationship is improving … then the conflict happens.
  • you have a great plan for the day … then it gets disrupted.
  • the kids are doing great … then the principal calls.
  • really close to God … and then one day, you suddenly feel like He is a million miles away.

It’s in those moments, we can find ourselves asking the question, “Why even try?” We have all been there at one time or another.

However, over the years, I have found that what we typically see as a SET BACK is often a SET UP for the miraculous to take place. God is always working in the unseen.

It seemed like the ministry of Jesus was over when He experienced the SET BACK of betrayal, beatings, and the cross. However, what the world called a SET BACK was actually the SET UP for the empty tomb.

The feelings you may experience in life can be overwhelming at times. But, God uses the sets backs to get us to look up … so He can set up things where He gets the glory and we get the joy.

So, don’t let your SET BACK make you take a STEP BACK … rather, prepare for your COMEBACK, knowing the best is yet to come!
