Do you want to Grow?

If you ask any person that question, the answer would be a resounding, “YES!” Even amongst the skeptics after they dissected the question and actually understood what it was that you were asking and that it was positive growth and not negative growth, etc…most of THEM would get on board with US. Maybe I will do a blog soon about US vs. THEM…

My LeaderTip #5 on Twitter the other day was…

“All growth requires change. There is no change without conflict. The 3-stranded cord of Growth is:

Conflict + Change = Growth

Every month I have the privilege to speak to thousands of people about Leadership, both live and through Leadership Shapers Institute, a monthly Leadership teaching to our subscribers that focuses on helping them to Think…Be and Do better as a Leader. This past month, I spoke on 4 Things you can’t Live or Lead Without. One of those is CONFLICT! To listen to this message, please check out our podcast or online store

While most people want to grow, less people want to change and nobody in their right mind wants CONFLICT!!! So here are a few thoughts today about Growth:

· All Growth requires Change…why is that?

We are not going into the future, we are growing into the future. What does tomorrow tell us about today? It is not going to be the same as today. There are 3 facts about Change the revelation of which, I believe will help us Change…for the better:

1) Things are going to change
2) Things need to change
3) Things are going to change with or without us

You are GROWING into your future. Growth starts with being the change you want to see. Be the person you want to meet. You can change your world by changing yourself. When you grow, everything grows better. Don’t allow change to happen without you. Be a part of positive change by being a positive person. Negative people don’t make positive change. You accomplish nothing positive by being negative. Don’t curse whatever darkness you see, light a candle. Be the light. Be a Light-Bringer, an Energy-Producer! Create the atmosphere that you want to live in by being a Change-Architect!! Ask yourself, what in your life needs to change? Then ask, what is my part in making that happen? Don’t be happy with being a thermometer, be THE Thermostat!

Growing into my future,
Keith
