There are things that inhibit your growth and things that contribute to your growth. To help cause growth, we have to grow past growth inhibitors and grow up in growth contributors. The first inhibitor you have to grow past is having a spirit of offense.

Get past offense…Grow UP in the Word of God

This may be one of the most important things I have ever taught … so please read this carefully.

Since your birth, the devil’s strategy against you has been to steal, kill, and destroy your life. But Jesus came, that you might not just have life, but a Spirit life – a life led by the Spirit of God.

Once you are born, the enemy begins waging war against you becoming all that God has put you on the earth to be. He tries to dismantle you first by getting you into a spirit of offense – by directing your focus on what was supposed to be, but was not. It may have been the way your parents were supposed to be, but were not. Or, the way your family was supposed to be, but was not. You go through life and the enemy says it’s okay to go through life – even a long life – just as long as you are not growing through life.

So, the first growth inhibitor you have to get past is a spirit of offense. How do you do that? You grow up in the Word of God.

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” – Psalms 119:165 NKJ

Remember this, the enemy of your soul is trying to get you into a spirit of offense from the day you are born.

You can determine someone’s level of maturity, not by their age, not by their experience, but by what it takes to offend them. That is why the Bible says, do not be a child tossed to and fro by what men say, but grow up in all things. When you become offended, you are allowing the words of others to be more important than the Word of God.

Never allow the words of others to be more important than the Word of God. Choose to live on the side of God’s Word!

It is time to Grow UP in all things … so we can help others Grow UP in all things and cause Growth in the Kingdom of God!
