One of my favorite quotes of all time …

“All successful people have agreed in being Causationists. They believe that they are the CAUSE for what happens to them. Unsuccessful men believe they are the EFFECT of what others have done to them or have not done for them.” – Henry David Thoreau

The reality is … we cannot control everything that happens to us but we can control how it affects us. We can’t control everything that comes into us but, as the Bible says, we can guard our hearts because out of our hearts flow our issues of life.

We gain control not by controlling everything that everybody out there does … but by controlling how what everybody does affects us. Why? Because greater is He that is in me … and above me. He will work through me, working all things together for my good.

“When You Make God’s Cause Your Cause, God Makes your Cause His Cause!” – Leadershipology.com

If you believe that and walk it out, then you will never make somebody your enemy. You will never allow somebody to make you a victim. You will never allow what somebody has done – that you had no control over – to control you. But whenever something somebody has done enters your sphere, because God is with you, because He is above you, because He is in you, the power of God is going to flow through you! Not the power of what that person did or did not do to you!

Be a causationist. Make God’s cause your cause and watch Him make your cause His cause!
