“What we do repeatedly consciously becomes a subconscious force for better or for worse and is called habit-force.” – Leadershipology.com
Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines “Habit” this way: coat worn by ladies over other garments. State of any thing; implying some continuance or permanence; temperament or particular state of a body, formed by nature or induced by extraneous circumstances
Our habits are things we can put on or take off!
A disposition or condition of the mind or body acquired by custom or a frequent repetition of the same act. Habit is that which is held or retained, the effect of custom or frequent repetition. Hence we speak of good habits and bad habits.
Fundamentally, habits are things we acquire. Our habits start as routines, or even things that we like. As we do these things more, the less we start ruling them and the more they start ruling us. A habit is something that we create, either strategically or by default in our life. Your habits can force you into a place of success or failure within your life. Our habits are things that we decide, but ultimately they can end up deciding us. They can be one of your greatest forces of success, or they can be one of our greatest forces of failure.
