If Today Was the First Day

If today was the first day of the rest of my life,

I would want to live with the wisdom of knowing what matters most

I would want to start with a clean slate,

yet to be consciously aware of the difference between good and great

I would want the people I care about to know,

that is really all I care about

I would want to Discover, Develop and Deploy passion with people

and never be misunderstood.

I would walk strategically with a limp,

and be more aware of my strut

I would want to know what connects people deeply with God

and seek to connect with them in God.

I would want to speak healing worlds to mend broken hearts.

I would want to inspire the best in every person.

I would want my “i love you” to have more impact than my

“i”m sorry.”

I would want to be fully alive in every moment

and be awed easily.

I would want to spend every day with the people I love the most,

giving and getting the most out of life.

If today was the first day of the rest of my life, I would

want to express that I love God, I love my family, and I am grateful beyond words

for GREAT FRIENDS. I would give God my PRAISE for

enabling and empowering me to

Think, Be and Do what I love.

And…

I would find a way to make the past, both good and not so good, work something in me to make me more life Him whose image I bear.
